Service Opportunities

Scouts Serving Seniors

This Gold Award project was designed for other scout troops to be able to participate in volunteer opportunities at retirement communities. Below are sample ideas for events your troop could host complete with a budget sheet, flyers and instructions. These are just guidelines however; you could alter the events or make new ones to suit your needs. If you would like to set up an event, please contact either me (Maggie Ford) at 979-695-6970 or [email protected] or Heather Murphy, the Meaningful Pursuits Coordinator for the Bluebonnet and Millican houses. She can be reached at 979-575-3622 or [email protected].
